I was born on April 7, 1954 near Panama City, Florida. I received a childhood cal into the ministry, but following high school, I decided to pursue a career in science and engineering. I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in chemical engineering. A job opportunity brought me to Lake Charles, Louisiana. There I met and married my wife, Karen. Karen and I attended classes together at McNeese State and we each received our MBA degrees. Henning Memorial United Methodist Church in Sulphur became our home church. Karen and I have two adult daughters: Kristen who lives in Shreveport, and Kathleen who resides in New Orleans.
God renewed his call on my life and in May of 2015 I graduated from The Iliff School of Theology. I became a commissioned candidate for Elder and was appointed as an Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church in Lake Charles. I will be ordained as an elder in full connection at the 2018 Annual Conference.
My hobbies are physical fitness and golf. I especially love long distance running and have finished twelve marathons. I am a very slow and I will not discuss finish times.
